Hotmail is a free email service property of Microsoft; know by many other names as “MSN Hotmail”, “MSN”, “Messenger” and “Outlook” that really are just a bunch of the same thing. MSN and MSN Hotmail are old names from the beginning of Hotmail.com, still exist but they refer more to the Hotmail home page that is like a news center, Messenger was an online instant messages service that became the most popular of the world, today has been replaced by Skype.
And Outlook refers to the actual Microsoft email service, Hotmail.com and Outlook now coexist together, the “Hotmail” brand hasn’t disappear because most of the Outlook email addresses really are of the type “firstname.lastname@example.org” and you can access your inbox from Hotmail.com or Outlook.com as well.
Hotmail gives you an excellent service for sending, receiving and saving emails and files. Extra features like People, Calendar, OneDrive, Skype and Online Office are really appreciated by the users.
For getting familiar with the Hotmail page and using the services, go to hotmail.com or outlook.com and look for the registration page, open it and you’ll see a big form to fill, don’t worry it is just basic profile information. All you need to do is fill the fields correctly following the instructions the same page will show to you.
Simple things like your name, gender and birth date shouldn’t be a problem. About your country/location and phone make sure you write real information, the location will set your home page with your local news and the phone is for recovering your password. If you don’t want to share your phone number, just leave the field empty.
